I may very well be the last person on the planet to use the reusable silicone baking cups.
I regularly make muffins for healthy snacks...here is where I have a shameless plug for checking out my Pinterest page where you can find recipes that I've found like sweet potato brownies, mocha banana bread, chocolate zucchini bread, and more. Anyway, when I make these snacks I end up losing a good amount of the muffins when I take the paper liners off (even after they've cooled). So, I decided to try the silicone baking cups that I've heard about...and off to Amazon I went.
I had tried a silicone brownie pan once and it seemed like the brownies would always fall flat, so I was a little skeptical. But, it's Amazon, so if I don't like it I can return it, right? When I got them I immediately washed them and made a batch of a particular muffin recipe that I know get practically destroyed when the paper cupcake liner gets removed. I placed the baking cups on a cookie sheet and filled them, baking per the instructions. I checked on them once during the cook time and it looked like everything was as it should be. I let them cool for a few minutes after removing them and when I went to remove the muffins from the baking cups I was seriously amazed.
Fold the edges of the baking cup over and it makes removing the muffin a breeze! And the clean up is super fast. No chunks or crumbs or residue, I just had to do a quick wipe down and they were like new! And I proceeded with the rest of the batch of muffins that needed to be cooked.
I've also used these to make breakfast egg cups, home made peanut butter cups (cashew butter, actually) and fat bombs. I don't know about you, but rolling the ingredients of a fat bomb into precise balls that are all the same shape is tedious and I just can never get them all the same. These cups make it super easy for portioning, in my opinion
Link is below for the muffin cups...I do recommend getting the bigger pack, as opposed to the 12ct package I bought, because it's totally worth the money!
