Sabotage for Happiness
Maybe it was in your mid to late twenties, maybe it's now, but at some point we all know that girl who is trying so hard to get her life right but whatever she does it's still so much drama.
Do you remember that episode of How I Met Your Mother where they're talking about they all know that one girl where you just tilt your head and say, "Oh, honey..."
Yeah, from an observer's perspective, that's Val. She starts to get her life how she thinks she wants it and then a proverbial bomb drops next to her and she reacts and you just think, "Oh, honey..."
Check out the back cover blurb below and head over to Amazon to check it out. It's a quick read for busy mamas on the go - a little romance and a lot of drama, if it does nothing else, it'll let you feel great about your life not being THAT much of a mess.
It's the 10 year anniversary of Sabotage...so I suggest you get it because, eventually, the prequel will come out (you want more drama...O.M.Geeeee there will be drama...) and you will want to have this before you read the prequel!
After you read it, write a review, please. Whether you liked it, you didn't , or you were indifferent...all reviews help. Make sure you review ALL the books you purchase off of Amazon...us authors greatly appreciate it!
Back Cover Book Summary
Val was quite successful at starting her life over again. Her and Nick had a convenient relationship and both were relatively happy with it. Her party planning business was going very well. And, with the help of her therapist, she'd gotten past the majority of her issues, both past and present. That is, until Curtiss walked back into her life. Is this a second chance for them? Why does he have to reappear now, when things are going so well?
The Powers Will Be
The brainchild of the NaNoWriMo writing challenge, this idea came to me while I was walking my dog past a small pond in our neighborhood and I asked him what I should write about. (Yes, I talk to my dogs..and cat...)
The idea: A girl who is a top performer and a key player in the company she works for starts a family and all of a sudden she ends up with telepathic powers.
After submitting to many, many, many agents to no avail, taking the rejection like a champ (lack of response bothered me more than a "no" response), a friend of mine told me about publishing through Amazon and voila! I'm self published without having to pay a company to do it. (Thank you Amazon!!)
While I was going through the submission process, I was pregnant with my son and I was explaining it to a co-worker who joked, asking if this was a true story and what my boss was doing in our building.

Back Cover Book Summary
Rachel has been on maternity leave for the last eight weeks. Her boss and one of her project managers are discussing her return and the potential repercussions for what they had done while she was gone. Max, Rachel's boss, had only involved Greg once he had already pulled the trigger on his idea. Rachel's recuperation from having twins just six weeks before was easy and, according to her doctor, she was leaps and bounds better than any other woman in that same situation and he couldn't figure out why. Ultimately it was because of what Max had done. He should have told her, he should have asked her. This is her body, he has no right to be so selfish. Rachel has to come to terms with this deception and she has to learn to deal with this now, and presumably for the rest of her life. Rachel is in a relationship with Shawn and, while he also feels their family has been violated, he respects her decision on how to proceed and he is her rock as she deals with what is happening to her. What IS happening to her?
Mama Maneuvers; Balancing Work, Family & The Extras
I was watching a webinar (I'm WAY into personal development and take every chance I get for webinars, podcasts, free challenges, etc.) and it was about launching a book in six weeks.
I was all "I can do this but what topic can I write about?" It didn't take me long to realize that, since I help working moms, I should write about working moms!
A six week launch turned into eight and I was able to talk to working moms and get their opinions on thoughts on various topics. There's not a whole lot of statistics out there about working moms, so I had to created my own market research survey and I was surprised to find that so many moms felt the way I felt when I worked a corporate job.

Back Cover Book Summary
April has worked her entire life and, after realizing she likely would never have the family she had planned on, she made her job into a career. But then she became a mom, quite literally overnight. Along with her budding career, she now had all the responsibility of being a full time, never off the clock, mom.
Her job had given her purpose for so long but she loved this child and being a mom. The problem, she found, was those two things didn't always jive. How was she supposed to transition between the two roles? Did her co-workers, or worse, her boss feel like her performance was suffering? Did her friends and family think she couldn't handle being a working mom?
